Started As A D.J. In the early 70's, Spinnin' At Private Parties, As A Mobile D.J. In LES, And In Some Small Clubs, Bars, Etc. In 1979 Did A Re-Mix Which Became A Huge Success (Underground) And On One Of New York's #1 Radio Stations At The Time 98.7 Kiss Fm. A Few Well Known Radio D.J.S Shep Pettibone And Tony Humphries Played The Re-Mix Regularly. After This "Dr.Garcia" Decided To Open His Own First Independent Record Label, "Mr.T Records" In The Early 80's Had A Huge Hit In Europe With "Can't Get Enough Of You" By Wickett. This Is Where “Dr. Garcia” Started To Learn The Music Business From An Executive Level, And Found Out It Wasn't As Easy As He Thought!! Soon After He Closed The Label, A Short Time After He Formed A New Label By The Name Of High Power Records, He Had His First Success With The Record "My Sweet Love" By Reinald-O. Tony Garcia, Until This Day Feels Multitude Of Gratitude To Miami's Power 96 Fm And In Particular To Their P.D. Mr. Frank Walsh For Recognizing The Song And Supporting His Efforts, Also For Helping High Power Gain National Attention, This Was The Beginning Of "High Power Records Empire. Tony Has Worked Also With Micmac Records In The 80's On Their Early Smash Hits Such As "Fantasy Girl" (Johnny O.), "Endless Night" (Cynthia), Judy Torres, Tiana And Many Others Including Micmac's Smash Hit "Dreamboy / Dreamgirl". His Massive Support On Freestyle / Latin Hiphop, Is The Cause For Freestyle Making A Comeback Until Today. At That Time When Everyone Was Changing Their Styles To "HipHop, R&B, House Or Whatever" Tony Never Gave Up On Freestyle / Latin Hiphop Flavor Which He Took It To A Differrent Level And Slowed Down Freestyle To His Liking, He Created What He Calls "Funky Melody" Which Everyone Knows As Planet Rock Freestyle. For Example "Take Me In Your Arms" Lil Suzy, As Well As Everyone Else Who Uses The Planet Rock Freestyle Sound. Tony Took A Long Break From The Music Industry To Regroup His Ideas And Thoughts. In 2004 Tony desided in focusing on Different Material, For Instints: Dance, House, RNB. Pop and Techno.

The label are a force of Dance, Freestyle, R&B, Pop, Techno, Salsa, Reggaeton, and so on.

Exploitation over the years with TV, Radio, Club and Print Journalists as well as pushing the new technologies envelope, we feel, that we have re-open the doors for the new generation.

In its first few years of operation, High Power Records was successful in gaining its popularity through club and radio exposure nationally. Which propelled growth allowing High Power to pursue more artist development and subsequent successes.

Historically, High Power became one of the top major independent labels of its time with over 50% of the titles released charting and being played constantly in clubs and radio, which firmly established the company.

Tony Garcia (Song Writer, Producer, Engineer, Arranger, Mixer, Editor, and CEO and Founder of High Power Records,) began his career as a DJ in the streets of NYC metro area at L.E.S in the early 70’s at a very young age. Today he continues Producing & Marketing all type of Music.
